Pipe ordered under this specification is mechanical usage.Hot finished tubes need not be heat treated. Cold finished tubes shall be heat treated after the final cold-finishing at a temperature of 1200°F or higher.

A sufficient number of visual surface imperfections to provide seasonable assurance that they have been properly evaluated with respect to depth. The defect shall be removed or cut off within the limits of requirements on length. The finished pipe shall be seasonably straight.
